Sign-ups: October 2013
Sep. 30th, 2013 08:33 pmHappy Fall/Autumn to you all! (Unless you're in the Southern Hemisphere -Happy Spring!) :D
Happy early Halloween if you celebrate it ^_^
Once again, for current participants, don't forget to comment with your final word count.
Also, you can either comment over there or here for your goal for October 2013.
Welcome! to those of you who are new. Here's what to do:
Sign up for what your goal in writing is for this month by commenting on this entry. For example, you could say you want to write a total of 10,000 words this month, or 100 words every Friday, or 100 words per week, or even 1 hour a day; whatever you feel most comfortable committing to.
*Please note* I will be calculating all pledges by the number of days in that month. For example, in June, there are 30 days. If you pledge 100 words a day, no matter when you pledged during the month, you will be accountable for 3,000 words:)
After we've compiled a few peoples' 'pledges,' I'll create a master post with the list of people and their goals.
Now, you are responsible for commenting to that master post with your word count by the end of the month or when you've reached your goal.
Once you've signed up, you can keep committing to this goal every month by stating so in your comment, or you can continue to comment each time a sign-up is posted. Of course, if you decide to change it, you're welcome to:)
We understand that people have lives, and that writing is not always easy when life gets in the way. But, if you want to challenge yourself and make writing a part of your daily life, this is a good way to start:)
Please comment if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you:)

Date: 2013-10-05 05:16 pm (UTC)/o\ OMG, one week in and I already feel like I need to drop out. My muse has been awol for months and it seems like putting any pressure on it is just making it evaporate. sigh I don't know what I need to do.

Date: 2013-10-05 05:18 pm (UTC)I know you've put pressure on yourself to write or finish something, but we're pretty laid back here. If it gives you good motivation, stick with the goal. If not, it's all good :)
